Verocel have been acquired by Wisk Aero, an Advanced Air Mobility company based in California and a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company. Verocel will apply its combined deep expertise in software development and certification to help Wisk achieve its mission to deliver and certify its Gen 6 aircraft. Today Verocel reaches its milestone twenty-fourth anniversary as a supplier of products and services that ensure commercial and proprietary digital systems meet regulatory requirements for use in safety-critical systems. The company was founded in 1999 by George Romanski and James Chelini, the current CEO, who were convinced their combined 50+ years of software development and verification could be applied to the benefit of other companies seeking help in ensuring their software was safe. Since its founding, Verocel has performed verification and certification of many software components including numerous operating systems deployed on billions of devices and systems worldwide.

Verocel was selected by GMV to design, construct and develop the SouthPAN safety computers which includes the chassis, infrastructure software, custom and the commercial off-the-shelf hardware. The Southern Positioning Augmentation Network enables precision GPS guidance in Australia and New Zealand for airborne navigation, marine, agriculture and other industries.
